A man who stabbed a woman steps from Union Station on Friday afternoon was chased into the station and shot by a security guard near a fast-food restaurant, according to D.C. police and witnesses.
A security guard shot a man who stabbed a woman inside Union Station on Friday, the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, District of Columbia police said.
The guard saw the man stabbing the woman and chased him, police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said in a statement. The man turned and pointed the knife at the security guard, who opened fire, and the man was shot, she said.
